I am a systematic theologian who specializes in ecclesiology and sacramental theology. I am particularly interested in the connection between the church’s liturgy and its mission. My current research is focused upon the theology of sacrifice. My work draws from a variety of sources, ancient, modern, Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant.
I am Lecturer in the Department of Religious Studies at Santa Clara University, where I teach courses on Pastoral Liturgy and Sacramental Theology in the Graduate Program in Pastoral Ministries and general courses on Christian theology at the undergraduate level
My first book, Missa Est! A Missional Liturgical Ecclesiology, is now available from from Fortress Press.
